Yes there is a Wright Whale. It was the "right" whale to hunt. It had the best oil.

Anyway for the sentence.

Go to the right and drive five miles. Would be another meaning of right. Which is right as opposed to left.

The Right (that IS the correct spelling) whale is also a baleen whale, which simply means it swims always with an open mouth, feeding on small organisms called krill among other thiings.
They have no dorsal fin--and that's all the " story" I can think of.

It's a Wright whale, as in apparently this guy who asked the question can not spell Wright Whale Right.
