Does anyone know any good magazines that pertain to news and information relevant to the GLBT community?

I was thinking of getting a subscription to the Advocate [magazine], but i dont know if there is a better one out there.

The Advocate is good for news about GLBT events.

Out is good with fashion and travel.

I subscribe to both OUT and ADVOCATE. If I had to choose only one it would be ADVOCATE. I think it has the best all around info on what it means to be gay in the world today.

OUT seems to be headed towards being more glossy, more style and less GLBT issues based. It is good reading, but still not as issues based.

By the way, they both share production/editorial staffs.

The GAY and LESBIAN REVIEW is a juried magazine that has some of the best GLBT writing and attention to the issues. It is much more formal--and really skips style issues...but it is good to get at the core of gay activities.

Gay Community Monthly.

I know it sounds odd, but it has all of the Up-and-coming social events in local areas, news and updates on older stories, and many other myriad of information of GLBT community.

It's a specialty magazine, so unless you live in a major city, it's probably not going to be much use.

Hope it works for you!
