I say yes. Generally speaking, men tend to drive better. Don't get emotional about this question and give me your opinion but please don't say anything extreme like "YOU ARE A SEXIST" or else I will have to delete your comment. My mom, sister, aunts, and cousins are all TERRIBLE drivers. I just recently got my permit and I drive better than my mom who has had her license for 25 years- it's true, even my mom agrees. I am not saying ALL women are bad at parking or whatever, but to be brutally honest, women tend to kind of suck at driving- slow reaction, bad handling, etc. As I say this, read the full article and give me your opinion.

I don't feel like reading your entire article listed. It's late. But overall, I think people drive the way they were trained to drive. Some women are poor drivers. I'm not sexist or racist at all. But it has been my observation that Asian women seem to top the list of inconsiderate drivers.
I think that is because of what they learn or perceive about driving before they learn to drive, and when they are learning to drive. The Asian countries are usually more crowded than the US (where I live) and people give each other less heed and less consideration when they are traveling--walking, riding their bikes, driving a car. They do not try to be friendly and/or polite.
So I think if you find men are better drivers, you might look at what the women were taught, and with what attitude. Were they treated like 2nd class or sub-citizens? That would affect the way they looked at driving.
It is said that your "real" personality and character show on the road, because no one knows you there and you won't be held accountable.

Well, it depends on what you mean by "worse".
Women get lower insurance prices because they are slower an more calculating drivers. They tend to get into less accidents because they are more careful.
Men, on the other hand, drive with passion and we look out for ourselves. Also we drive better drunk, because we have a higher tollerence genetically.
I agree with your comment that men are "better" drivers only because we have more fun and are not as careful. but my girlfriend is an EXCELLENT driver and I would never question her as a driver. But at the same time she can not paralell park to save her own life.
So in conclusion... SEXIST! haha...

Yes,some traits are gender related and driving is one such skill where men fare better than women.Take, any repetitive job[same thing being done again and again]and we find that women are much better than men ,who not only get bored faster but on a percentage, basis commit more mistakes.Historically, acceptance of our limitations has never been easy and no one is an exception.

I don't think that its fair to say women are worse then men. I think it depends more on the age group. Newer drivers are equally bad; younger guys tend to be more reckless (bake shows, racing, reving engines) and girls tend to be on cell phones and distracted. Old people, in general, have slower reflexes and poorer night sight.

Generally, distracted drivers are worse drivers.
Drunk drivers are worse drivers
Sleepy drivers are worse drivers
Underage drivers are worse drivers
Those are all statistic as well.
Perhaps I'm personally outside the norms, as a driving instructor for emergency vehicles.

dont agree, women are more careful drivers and will not take certain risks. That is the reasons why our insurance premium are generally lower than a man's own.

Women aren't as good at spacial orientation.
But they don't take the dangerous risks of racing drinking and driving; and multi-task better than men.
