That probably depends on your religion.
A judge's marriage is OFFICIAL though - you don't need to get married again, unless your religion won't accept it!

Marriage is a legal contract. If you're married by a judge, you're as married as you're ever going to get. And, it doesn't expire.
The priest, or any clergy for that matter, have to be recognized by the local authority accepting the marriage certificate, usually county administration. You aren't legally married unless the priest is an authorized representative of the local legal authority.

Marriage by a priest or by a judge is married in every sense.. and you get the papers to prove it.. and no a marriage does not expire., nomatter who preformed the ceremony.. you need a divorce for both.. or you can have an annulment too if the circumstances merit one

NO. You are just as married as by a priest. No expiration date. Sorry. If there was, there are LOADS of people who would go that route.

Are you serious, are we meant to be married by religious methods too? I am married and I refused to have a religious ceremony (because I am not religious or pretending to be) but my marriage is legitimate. Why should anyone have to be married by a priest?

You're just married. The justice has just as much authority as a priest in this matter.

Legally you would be married if married by a judge. Although depending on your church they might not recognize the union.

more and more these days marriage has become about a legal document instead of a union under god..i guess it would entirely depend on your religion....while a judge and the law recognize being married by a judge......religious people like my family doesn't see it that way....entirely up to you my dear...~smile~
