Of course but not without spirituality

In my opinion no. Reason being that religion exists solely because of faith which is wishful thinking. We as people need to believe that there is something better than what is offered here on earth. Someone who has struggled all their life only to die and have it end there can seem unbearable. It helps those who are still left on this earth cope with the deaths of loved ones as well. Beliefs also keep people in check too. Then there's "The big bang" theory. Not everything has a scientific answer, so for the unanswerable we use the unanswerable. I say no, the world wouldn't be more peaceful. As soon as we got rid of religion, we would just find something new to disagree or discriminate against.

I don't think there can be a solid answer to this. The problem is that in theory, if there were no concept of religion anyplace, I think we would fixate on some other thing. We would still have greed, nationalism, bigotry......
Also, the whole game changes with time and there are no simple solutions to hold us in perfect order and peace. I'm afraid that we may think too highly of ourselves when we assume we are beyond the laws of nature.

Unfortunately, no. Religion is always an attempt to contain human nature. Without religion, the world would probably be even worse.

It would be more peaceful if people stopped arguing about it and trying to change all the Christians into unbelievers.

Go live in Mauritius and see how harmoniously all the different people and religions live in harmony over there and tolerate each other.

Perhaps, the answer is yes. Since religions have been one of many sources of conflicts in the history of mankind, even until today. The best examples would be Shiite-Sunni Muslim open conflicts in Iraq and Pakistan.

However, you must not forget that moral ethics could be traced back to religious values, such as Christianity in Europe. The fact that Christianity values has been an integral part of European heritage is undeniable, even though many European are no longer Christians i.e. atheists, humanist, agnostics, etc.

War seems to be a human tendency, true religion often acts catalysts for these things. But even if religion didn't exist, political and economic agendas could result in wars. After all the main controversy (for lack of a better word) the war in Iraq is over Oil not over religious beliefs.

In any case not to sound stupid but South Park did an episode covering this topic. In season 10 episode 12 " Go God Go" a bunch of atheists fight over "what they should call themselves".

I hope I was able to solve your answer.

Without religion, the world would be dangerous to live in Nobody will be fearing God that all humans will be on the side of Satan. All are on the dark side and no lights will appear. Like killings, rape, muders, robbings, stealing and everything which are not good will be done by humans. It is good that there are religions who teaches you to be good samaritans and to have fear to God.If we are not religious people, right there, at the instant of uttering words against us, we can just kill you, or we can rape you, we can throw you to the ocean for death, b ut because we are relighous people, we fear God that we will not allow ourselves to be govern by Satan.
