I do not know her mood but maybe you should avoid to buy underwear at this stage. Only you can know her likes and dislikes.
-A dinner
-Some jewellery (necklace, bracelet)-ofcourse not too showy
-A book from her favourite author with a romantic note in it
-A CD from her favourite musicians
-Perfume (if you know it's brand otherwise do not buy)
And you can try to fish for information when you are alone with her. May be there is something she expects from you to buy but cannot tell you. So when you are alone she can say it or give you a hint.
