My mother had her haircut at a place I had a perm wave several months prior. My mother noticed a small note on the appointment desk that said,

"Refuse service to Lisa (last name), Perm Scammer!"

What had happened was that I went in for a permanant wave, and asked for their special they were advertising on the window. After my perm was completed, the stylist told me it would cost more because she had to use a different type of perm solution for my highlighted hair, which costed about 3X the amount advertised. I refused to pay the remainder, because she didn't tell me that before hand.

My mother told me she was in shock when she saw that little note that called me a "Perm Scammer".

My mother and I never went back.
