If you reserve the room with your credit card the room will be there for you.
Most of the casinos on the strip require a cancellation 24 hours prior, or you will pay the first night if you don't show.
You will not have any problems, just let them know about what time you are going to arrive.
Have fun

You can request a late check-in when booking through a travel website or the hotel's website. If you call, you can ask for a late check-in. Most hotels have a cut-off time on how long they will hold the room for you too, usually 12-24 hours, make sure however. Also, having stayed at Excalibur, if you can afford to stay at a better hotel, do so. Excalibur has a number of pesky annoyances and it's a LONG walk from the parking lot to the casino and again through it to your room. Try Monte Carlo, Planet Hollywood, TI or any other middle of the strip hotel. Not Imperial Palace however unless you like old, dreary accommodations and small casino. Good luck.

The check-in time is the earliest that you can check in and have your room guaranteed to be ready. If you arrive earlier, there is a chance that the room would not be ready for you yet. Arriving after the check-in time is usually not a problem. You can always call your hotel if you are worried about it though.
I would not recommend Excalibur, while it is cheap, the beds in the hotel are horrible.

Doesn't seem to be problem. The check-in time is the earliest you can check in. If you prepay your room then it is your room for the stay. This is Vegas ...people arrive 24/7 and hotels here are use to late check-ins. Many people try to arrive as early as possible in the day to make the most of their first day. The problem is they are without a room or baggage until the room is ready for check-in unless they have a car to keep their baggage. Better late than early in this case.

Surely, have I been you I would scan my computer first. After wards I would search the Web for the name of the Hotel which I would be residing.Place a reservation ahead of time. The only down side to pre-reservation you may be stuck with something you are not pleased with.Only until you follow protocol/procedure to correct that you are not pleased with. Before giving any of your personal info via telephone.Gather as much info as you possibly could from the person. You are speaking with like their position, and supervisor's name.Should you have any grievances you would be prepared. To handle the situation at hand.

Just make sure you check in before midnight as they may cancel your reservation if you do not call.
That has happened before and we even prepaid the entire room.
Just let them know when you make the reservation. Like one said 3 or 4 is the earliest you can check in.

Although each hotel has its set of rules, I don't see any problems with you being able to call in to and confirm your situation, I'll be in Las Vegas on the 5th and won't be arriving there until 10:30... MGM has absolutely no problem with that... have fun and good luck......

Most hotels hold the room until midnight of day of arrival. I would just call them and tell them you won't be in town until later, it shouldn't be an issue.
