Why do men always ask where their wallet/keys/sunglasses etc are??

They should be either, where they last put them, or where they shoud be, (because if I have moved them anywhere, that is where I have put them). He does not even bother to look in those two places first!!!

well duh, cuz if I dont remember where I put them, OBVIOUSLY someone else moved them, and since we are the only ones who live in our house...SHE MUST KNOW!! lol gimme a harder question, come on...

Becasue when men were single they knew where everything was.

As soon as the woman moves in they cant find anything anymore, ie the woman has:

1. Tidied it up
2. Washed it
3. Thrown it away
4. Put something else on top of it
5. Put something on top of it, then put the whole lot into a bag and stored it at back of a wardrobe somewhere
6. Decided I needed a new one so replaced it
etc etc etc
Hence the obvious thing to do if you cant find anything is ask the wife :)

The same reason women ask, where is my purse, have you seen my keys, and do these pants make me look fat. Better yet, when you say you lost something, why do people ask "where did you loose it" There is no reason. Basically it is just talking out loud in hopes that if they don't remember, that someone may say "hey, here they are. As far as my example of do these pants making me look fat, well we ladies usually know the answer, we just want to hear someone say that the pants don't make us look fat. Smile and don't let such silly things bother you. Be happy that you have someone who's most annoying thing is just asking you for help. It sounds as if there might be more underlying things annoying you than him asking where his things are??? Good luck.

Work with him on finding ONE SPOT he will absolutely use every time to download these basic necessities... even put a wooden or metal platter in that spot to catch the change.

My husband has a shelf in our entertainment center near the door... the change goes in a dish and the wallet and sunglasses next to it. It works.

Well, here's a generalization, but it's a good one! Women are more likely pay more attention to the objects in their enviroment than most men. Women will have a visual memory of where things are, so women tend to know where something is if it was left in the last place she saw it.This is why when asking for directions from a woman, she'll give you landmarks.

Of course, this is not to say there are not men who do this or women who don't, but more women than men tend to do this.

It is because men are trained to do the larger tasks...... Provide a home, go out and hunt the food and protect the family from danger.

Women are trained to be the "Nester's".....we are left to the fine details. Care for the children, keep things clean and orderly, and pay attention to detail.

Before I get slammed for being chauvinistic....I am just saying that society has trained us to take on these roles.

They are so preoccupied they don't even think about where they are putting their keys and such. They mindlessly set them down where ever and walk off.

The guys in my life can never find anything, even if I tell them specifically where to look. I think it is a guy thing....lol

Because they can't find anything that doesn't fall into their outstretched hands! Women create dependent men. We "baby" and "mother" them, and they become spoiled. No offense fellas. Men count on us to know where things are/what's going on, etc. because women have demonstrated that we are good at that.
