I'm sick of the perfect, princessy fairytale-ish Barbies you see in the stores. What about Barbies that teach little girls about the REAL world? Like...Homeless Barbie or Welfare Barbie. If you were to make a "realistic" Barbie, what would you make her?

Just an FYI, this is only a question for fun!!! Not a serious one. Have fun with it and be creative!

Barbie is suppose to be glamorous. They will never have a homeless one. Kids don't want to fantasize about being a bum. Some of my old barbies looked like crackheads after I lost their shoes, earring, clothes, and parts. I once had a Military barbie though. They did have working barbie moms too when I was growing up.

barbie is about the fantasy world and its for people who want to brainwash their daughter (or son I guess) into thinking this is the way they are meant to be,

I can't see many parents wanting to pursue the whole 'look sweety, you can grow up to be just like crackhead barbie' dream somehow.

It is a funny idea though, I would probably buy one just for the anti-culture value (and definitely not to play with, or dress up or take shopping with me, no way...never...)

i know Mattel already makes a line of wheelchair bound barbies but i would makes ones who are:
blind
lost limbs
have prosthetics
fat (not like current ones 2-7-5 dimensions)
varying disability characteristics (example down syndrome)
crutches
walker
