No. Someone did that to me when I was little and I'm still afraid of dark open windows.

Not recently. It would be a fun prank to pull on someone. I used to walk to my friend's house and look in her window to see if she was in her room. She didn't have curtains and her room was in the basement, so I guess my answer is yes.
