OB/GYN's are trained to perform C/Sections. If you are having one and it will be scheduled in advance, than it will be your usual doctor unless you have a midwife then it will be the doctor who is her back up. However if you go into labor prior to that date, then it will be the doctor on call at the hospital that you go to. Sometimes if it is during the day your doctor may still come in even if they weren't on call. The same for most vaginal deliveries too. They usually will manage their own patients during the day but the on call doctor does all the night time and weekend deliveries. Ask your doctor what his policy is.

My OB that seen me through my pregnancy did mine. I know a couple of people who had to use the doctor on call. Ask your Doc, and tell he.she that you would prefer them.

It depends on the policy where you are. If your dr isn't on call probably the dr that is (if they do c-sections) will or they will have an on-call surgeon do it.
