Yes... philosophy can be construed in a way to be fidelity to truth. Love of wisdom should lead to sticking with the truth unconditionally. Not only that, those who are loyal to truth to such an extent that they are prepared to cast off their beliefs in the face of truth, they would naturally value and even love wisdom that has the capability to unearth the truth.

IHMO, it means to adhere to the truth at all times, in word and deed....but whose "truth" are we to adhere to?...to each their own?
