First find out how far the plane goes in 1 hour rather than 10. So divide by ten each way to get 240 km and 320km. Then take the average of these two numbers which gives you 280 km. That is how far the plane can travel with no wind. Now either subtract 240 from 280 or 280 from 320, and you'll get the winds speed at 40 km/hr

let the speed of plane be x km/h,
let the speed of wind be y km/h

flying into the wind is slower
x-y = 2400/10

flying with wind behind is faster
x+y = 3200/10

solve this pair of equation and you will get x = 280 and y = 40

hence speed of plane 280 km/h speed of wind 40km/h

d=rt
you already have distance and time.
your rate flying with the wind is p+w
your rate flying into the wind is p-w

p + w = 320
p - w = 240
2p = 560
p = 280 km/h
w = 40 km/h

v_p = 240 km/h

v_p + v_w = 320 km/h

v_w = 320 km/h - 240 km/h

v_w = 80 km/h
