Conservative democrat.
You can have morals, but don't try to legislate them to the rest of society that may disagree.

You are not buying a "product". It is not like like asking someone which they prefer "Coke or Pepsi"! It is not a popularity contest nor a horse race. You MUST keep your opinions and views in mind or it just won't be the right fit for you. Everyone is different. Decide for yourself.
How to decide what fits YOU the best:
Step 1 - Do some serious thinking about how you feel about issues that you already know about.
Step 2 - Do some research into issues you don't have an opinion on. Maybe you will form an opinion while researching the issues.
Step 3 - Find out what each party's stance of the issues you care about. If you don't care about a particular issue, don't worry about the party stance on that issue.
Step 4 - See which party comes the closest to your own opinion on the issues you care about the most. Regardless of what other people say, that is YOUR party.
Don't let others tell you what to think or what is best for you. Figure it out for yourself.

Right Wing Conservative - If you make over a quarter mil a year, treat government spending like it's an an LLC, hate gay people, don't care what happens to poor kids as long as they're not aborted, don't have a problem with military aggression and are pro-Israel this is for you. Generally regarded as Republicans these days...
Left Wing Liberal - If you feel sorry for people who don't have anything mainly because they lack self respect, don't like the word "God" used anywhere besides in church, think criminals deserve 2nd (and 3rd) chances and would rather send troops to save baby seal than fight terrorists this is for you. Generally regarded as Democrats.
Moderate - You work for a living and so the percentage of taxes that you pay is higher than rich people for some crazy reason, you are a law abiding person and are decent to other people, you hate greedy people who step on others and stab them in the back to make a buck, your grandparents or great-grandparents came to the USA legally so you don't think it's fair that anyone should get a break because they managed to sneak across a border, you believe in welfare reform and energy reform and healthcare reform an election reform and lobby reform and are tired of the greedy crooks who have been running our great country into the ground for the last 6+ years while you and your family are struggling. We MODERATES and centrists are voting for Hillary Clinton in 2008 because although she's a Democrat her ideals are closer to ours than any other candidate and she has the experience.
I hope I convinced you...

just think for yourself...take the time to research the issues...make up your own mind....The best citizen is an informed one. i am a Liberal with an independent streak. I would rather argue with an informed Conservative than an uninformed one...even if I disagree with him...at least there cold could be logic involved

A moderate can be either a Republican or a Democrat; in fact, moderate Republicans and moderate Democrats have similar values; with either only a few issues distinguishing them, or customary voting practices.
As far as becoming a Republican or a Democrat, look how unhappy Dick Cheney always appears to be; would you like to look so miserable all of the time?
Now look at Barrack Obama. Look at how happy he appears to be. Hear how positive he is, and the good feeling you get after hearing him speak. Look at how much fun Al Gore is having.
The choice is yours: be a happy Democrat or be a miserable Di ck.

Gah.. if you have half or less of a brain, become a democrat.
If you have a whole brain, become a republican.
it just shows you how retarded democrats are when they think that you obviously are exactly like bush because you have the same political party.
i'm 15, but whatever. that's just my personal opinion.

I'm independent and think for myself.
Just one piece of advise. What ever you do, do not forget the past last 61/2 years and what bush has done and said. Also, how his supporters have been reacting!
If you pay attention to the above, you'll be able to find your path. ALL THE BEST!
ADD, you've got two clear examples above me to do what Ive advised you to do so!!!

Become a Conservative. Trust me on this...you WON'T regret it. Listen to 770WABC from 6pm to 8pm. I'm telling you...you're life WILL BE CHANGED. Many people have called up to say that they were life-long democrats that changed to conservatives. Don't listen to Liberals...their views don't make sense. The host of the show is The Great One - Mark Levin. Since you're trying to decide...try this talk show...he's so funny and so intelligent at the same time.
