I mean since he enjoyed fighting so much?
Hey..how is that for an idea to help army recruiters meet their quotas?....lets sentence convicts to go serve a couple years in Iraq.

He probably had no idea he would go to jail for doing what he did. He probably figured he'd get a big fine or something.

He's got to get the moron of the year award to go with all the millions he lost and the jail time...

I really don't care about the Michael Vick story.
Yes, it was cruel to animals, but so are slaughter houses.
So is the way that veal is raised. So is the way a lot of products are tested before they come to market. People make money off of that too, and it's just as cruel to animals. Personally, I find it more sad how a lot of people in nursing homes are treated. It amazes me how people in the US scream about treating animals humanely, but seem to forget about treating humans with dignity at all. As for Vick in Iraq, that just doesn't sound like a good idea. I would rather have immigrants earn citizenship by fighting in the military, then have a "celebrity" there putting a bunch of other soldiers in jeopardy.

As a Soldier who has experience in both Afgan and Iraq, I would never want a man of such low character fighting side by side with the Bravest and strong minded men and Women I served with. Sure there are guys that have had there run-ins with the law while I was in, but Michael Vick deserves to rot somewhere and reflect on his In-humane Behavior, wasted god given talent, Money lost.

Whats to say that he would actually go out into the war and fight? Whos to say that he wouldnt start shooting his own people? Good Idea, but I think they should take criminals that are serving life sentences (Not Vick, hes a wussy) to go over there and be IED finders. Have them walking the roadsides with a bottle of water and a poking stick :)

No. I think 5 years in prison and a ban from the NFL would do it. Besides, I wonder what football star would even want to play side-by-side with Michael Vick - a criminal. He would give the NFL a bad representation. The guy's really sick. Did you know that a bunch of serial killers and such have evolved from doing things like killing animals.

NO! Why burden our military with such a useless, pathetic excuse of a human being?!? The only way I'd support sending him to Iraq is if we dropped him a hot zone, wearing a t-shirt with a Mohammad cartoon on the front, and "I hate Muslims" on the back.

Michael Vick should be thrown to those poor dogs.

I agree with dez604. Why would I want a little wuss like him fighting along side brave men?

Also, you make Iraq sound way to damn bad. I know 5 solders who have served several terms in Iraq, and none of them say it's as bad as the media makes it out to be. Their biggest complaint is that it's hot and they get bored easily. Seriously people, stop making Iraq significantly worse than it is.

lets give convicts automatic weapons and set them free, even if it is a war zone..... doesnt really make too much sense to me. lets put things into perspective, and im not condoning dog fighting by any means, and vick deserves to pay dearly for his illegal acts. but let the man just serve his time like any other person would, a non celebrity, and let him go on his way. i guarantee with all the things he has lost for himself, he wont ever do it again. let him pay for his crime, repay his debt and then let it go. i think a very good addition to his sentence would be a lifetime ban from football.

Convicts like Michael Vick cannot fight a correct war because he has the tendency to misbehave and might kill Iraqis like dogs.
