Okay honey - depends on which way you're looking at it - first case senerio...

Doctors always date the start of your pregnancy from the first day of your last menstral period - so if you were say 3 weeks, implantation would have just occured or just now be starting - the hormone which pregnancy tests and blood tests detect don't start flowing into your body until the first day of implantation - so say if the embryo was implanting into the wall of your uterus at this very moment, and just started today, it would take about 4 or 5 days for today for the hcg levels to be high enough to show in a blood test and the doctors actually consider you pregnant - depending on labs and offices - most consider any hcg levels of 20 - 25 pregnant....so if you're counting from your last menstral period, then you should wait a week.....

second case senerio...If you are talking about 2 or 3 weeks after the date you think you concieved, then yes, it would more than likely show up in a blood test as well as a home pregnancy test...you would be about 1 or 2 weeks past implantation by now, and the hormone should be high enough to detect, definatly in a blood test done at the doctors or hospital, but home tests vary in sensitivity - the best ones I've found that detect low levels of the hcg hormones are (First Response - 5 days sooner, early results) and (ClearBlue Easy Digital, not the test with the pop out test sticks, the full piece with the dark blue cap) - both of these tests are sold at Walmart - both boxes come with 2 tests and are 10.00....I would use a clean cup and urinate into it, and take the test by dipping the stick into the urine for 5 - 10 seconds, depending on how long the instructions say....more accurate, some women miss the stick when trying to urinate onto the stick, and can cause the test to not work properly. IF you get a negative, wait a few days and re-test with the second test in the box as HCG hormones double every two day in the beginning of pregnancy....if still Negative....please see your doctor, some women dont show positive on home tests until they are 8 or 10 weeks, it all depends on how well the woman is producing the HCG hormone.....

I sure hope this helps you!!! Good Luck!!!

((EDIT)) - the previous poster stated that a home test will not be positive until your period is due....that is not true, some women find out a few days before their period is due, and some don't, as I said, it's all based on the level of HCG flowing through you....*hugsssssssssssss* - please keep us updated, edit in your post and let us know if you are expecting a baby!! :)

nope at 2 weeks your ovulating.
3 weeks is conception takes place (implantation)

the earliest you can find out is 10 days after ovulation with a doctors blood test
otherwise no way to know until your period is due

i answered you just as you asked

no test will detect pregnancy until your period is due

the only way would be an hpt or a blood test. (which as someone stated normally would not detect it until around week 4) also everything else appears how it normally would at that time (ie: cervical position, etc).
