Yep. I am a father of 2. Just had my 2nd child 2 weeks ago. Thanks to the child birth classes that my wife made me go to, I was able to assist my wife from the beginning of contraction until the delivery 16 hrs (first child) & 10 hrs (second child) later. She had both kids naturally and without any drugs.

What I did during the contractions was massage her, give her counter pressure, do the slow dance technique, encourage her, and did whatever she needed for me to do.

Then during the delivery, I held her hand, encouraged her, kissed her and told her that she was doing great. When she had to really push and it became painful, I took her mind off of things by talking about how beautiful she was when she walked down the aisle during out marriage.

Then when the baby came out, I help clean them off. I even cut the chord for both of my kids.

I saw a whole lot more than I wanted to see, and I am trying my hardest to get the images of child birth out of my head. But I am glad I was there for both of my kids delivery and I was glad I was able to do all that I could to help her!

Men are all different, aren't they? It depends how they are in general. If you have an old fashioned guy, then he won't likely be rubbing your feet and making dinner. If you have a guy that's more of a man of the present, then I am sure he will be supportive. My guy took care of me from the moment I found out I was pregnant, both times. He is an involved dad, to our 3 year old, and I think he sees supporting me as taking care of the baby too.

I can't watch the video I'm on a mac.

BUT...men might THINK they have a clue, but they have no earthly idea.

My husband had the nerve to say "Oh my back hurts, I feel like I'm pregnant"

I couldn't get the video to show.

My husband is very supportive. Lets me rest when I need to, helps with chores around the house. Cooks dinner. He even had sympathy morning sickness one day-when it was at my worst! He understands that I'm tired/moody & tries his best to deal with it.

Seems to me like the coach or doctor there was doing a lot more than the hubby. In most cases, this is how it usually goes!
