No, it does not mean you're dumb. I know some elementary ESL teacher who cannot even do a simple division. That doesn't mean she's dumb. She's very smart in English and articulate and teaching her students. I also know a librarian, who cannot do math, yet she has undergrad and Master degrees in Social Science and she could go on to a PHD because her marks are great in that area. You don't have to excel in everything. But if it really matters to you to know some math, you can always get a tutor or ask the teacher for help in math. You don't have to be an expert if you don't want to. The more you try, the easier it'll get.

Jail Tail: You're wrong! Albert Einstein excelled in Math and Science! It's a Myth that keeps spreading forever. I read his autobiography years ago and it said he had advanced knowledge of Math when he was a teenager and his parents encouraged him to learn more.
He failed an examination that would have had him study Electrical Engineering. People get this wrong all the time but I read his Biography. He also failed in French but he NEVER failed Math.

Everyone has areas that they are talented in and not so talented. It's called multiple intelligences. Some people are strong in math but poor in the arts. Everyone thinks and learns differently. I love math, but am horrible in social studies. You're not dumb, you just know your weak area.

No way!!! I struggled with math all through middle and high school. I just barely passed and I'm no dummy....I just chose a career that doesn't require it.
