Why does society condone people beating each other bloody in the ring,?

Society condones it because they secretly like all the blood, gore and guts as long as it's a human being which they don't value like animals, specifically dogs.

Everyone is crying about Michael Vick and his dog offenses, yet let someone like Brett Myers beat his wife in public or get thumped on in a boxing ring and no one says nothing.

In my opinion, it's an illogical, hypocritical double-standard. Give me a break dogs eat, dress, live, and are treated better than humans including children. Where's the public outcry when players abuse their wives and children?
