Hysterical. I have a very strange, impossible to pronounce, irish name, and have been called sha-nay-nay as a joke a few times by friends (as well as a million other nicknames). As a given name, a bit much though. Best.

My rule of thumb for naming a child is to put the title "President of the United States" in front of it. or "Now batting for the (insert favorite baseball team name)"
President Sha Nay Nay would sound like baby talk and that president would be laughed out of office, if he/she ever got there in the first place

Sure..why not.. that way you can give your child a complex.. why should you give a damm about it.. after all you are the one who wants the attention.. I will bet you will get a lot of conversations going with that one.. that will really feed your ego.. I'm sure the other children will have a big time of making fun of your childs name.. but hey what the heck.. at least you will always be the star of the show.. right?

that name is ridiculous, its just too much it sounds like a prostitues name. Shae would be nice or even Shanay, not shanaynay dont be cruel to your kid
