There's no telling what is in our future but judging from the way the government is disregarding the constitution and further promoting themselves into a "nuch higher power" then we're all in for a world of sh*t. Something's going to change the way we've ever pictured life to be and after a certain point we'll rebuild and be alot better off. Our rights must be kept priority, I don't understand why politicians don't see that.

You know, I really loved this question, because it's something i've been asking myself for the longest time.
It is quite sad to say, that as of right now - it doesn't look very good. Watching the news seems very one-sided and depressing (as I'm sure many agree with that statement). You're right, the government isn't doing the greatest job possible, but that's a whole different topic.
So basically, we have all these little things that have been happening for years, and will continue to happen and then finally they will all meet up together and it will be the next disaster. I don't feel that at any time soon (lol) we are getting out of Iraq. As much as I want the soldiers to come home, I feel that it's going to be a long road to this war being over.
The government right now (and well, forever) has been making stupid decisions. Even leading back to the establishment of the federal reserve bank - there has definitely been cover-ups, lies beyond belief, and very shady actions and crimes comitted. Will this end? no. Will this have anything to do with America's future? Abso-friggin-lutely. lol
It's very sad, the way that the world is going. As much as I'd like to say that corruption, crime, lying, etc. is all in one part of THIS country, it's all over the world.
So, yes, unfortunately I do feel with heavy heart that America's seen brighter days and don't see any (decent) changes happening anytime soon. But I'm sure you'll still be able to do all those things. Except the world will just be a much more different place.

We will always have the problems with corruption in government, politics, police, etc. I'm sure we will still be fighting terrorism to some degree. Will we still have the things we hold dear like taking our kids to ballpark or teaching them to bait a hook? God I hope so. And we will as long as we teach our kids morals and core values. I don't care what religion you are. If you have these things we can live in peace.
In the end, where will America be in 50 years?
Same place it is now. Between Mexico and Canada. Beyond that, it depends on how our kids are raised.

I'm afraid to even contemplate what the future will look like. I'm guessing we'll look more like the third world with no middle class--only rich and poor. Americans will need three or four jobs if they want a decent life. But, hey, Bush said working three jobs was "fantastic" and "uniquely American!"

Not really sure, but it's quite possible that the world may not be here in that length of time. The peoples hearts have become so corrupt with the lusts of the world.

Seems to me every generation thinks the best years are gone.
Maybe instead of wishing for the past,we should build for the future.
The past wasn't as great as you think.
