The Harvest Moon is the entire Moon that occurs closest to the autumnal equinox; so specific this night's moon is the Harvest Moon. it is an incredible night for moon-staring at if the skies are sparkling. The Harvest Moon is occuring on the comparable night by using fact the equinox, which does no longer ensue very often (Harvest Moons may be days or even weeks faraway from the equinox). additionally; Jupiter may be seen, it is the superb merchandise on the factor of the moon. i'm having certainly one of 'those' nights; I wakened and could no longer fall returned to sleep. So, i became in basic terms outdoors watching the moon and Jupiter. it is a splash hazy here, and the moon is so superb it lights up the entire western sky impressive now; the only 'enormous call' i will see close to the moon is Jupiter. (i will see stars to the east, however the moon has the western a million/2 of the sky lit up very superb interior the haze.)

I just saw it, thanks for the reminder
edit: sorry but the closest mars has ever gotten to earth is 33 million miles in 2003 and hopefully by that info you can tell that its not close enough to look like a moon or even a second moon

Tomorrow night you will see two full moons. Mars will be close enough that it will appear to be a second moon. Look in the sky about 12:00-12:30 a.m. It won't happen again for 2000 years so at least try.
