so i got a second gen. ipod in january and well a week ago half of the hold button broke off so does the warranty cover that? can i take it to best buy to get it fixed? will the warranty cover that?

The warranty should cover that. Take it back to the Apple store, they will replace it on the spot. Be sure you have the original receipt.

The warranty might cover it, but I kind of doubt it. I am almost betting you will have to send it in for any warranty. We went to Walmart a about a month and half after the purchase of an ipod nano, and they said we had to send it in, usually Walmart will always just let you exchange merchandise, so I am thinking it is different for some reason with ipods.

i have had so many mp3e players brake from best buy and best buy will try to fix it they well have to send it to apple so it will be gone for 2 weeks and if they cant fix the will give u a new apple iPod for equal or less value for free and if u want one that costs more money the the old one you will have to pay the difference
