They refuse to take any initiative. They barely have Baghdad under control, much less any part of the rest of the country. Their government, according to our own analysts, is incapable of sustaining itself without being propped up by the U.S.

What has happened in the past four years that proves that they have any right to ask us to keep supporting them, or that we're ever going to be able to realistically expect them to step up to the plate and give us a return on our investment?

You are confusing the Iraqi government and the Iraqi people. The people of Iraq are fighting to expel a foreign invaderand topple the puppet regie thatinvader imposed on them--and they are showing plenty of initiative. And they aren't asking us to stay--more than 3/4 want the US to leave. Since we had no just cause for invading in the first place, we should respect their wishes.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS--BRING THEM HOME NOW

I don't think that the Iraqis chose to be in the current state they are in. It is those armed militias who cause all the havoc.

Iraq is in the state of civil war, something that the Bush administration describes as "sectarian violence".

There is really nothing much we can do about controlling the fate of the civil war. Its best if the US just leaves in a systematic manner. The Iraqis will take care of their own matters.

The terrorist threat should be another matter. Although, a withdrawl can bear a tremendous guilt within US foreign policy.

Not to sound cold, but I don't believe the Iraqi people have done anything that deserves our support and billions of dollars. Bush is wasting all our money on such a small country when America already is in need of support for our issues. We are near $9 billion in debt and I don't know how much longer we can waste this money before something serious goes wrong here and we don't have enough to deal with it. I really think Bush has ruined our country status.

Hey, we were not invited. They consider us to be a foreign occupation force. They say life was better and more secure under Saddam than it is under American control. They say that it is OK to kill American soldiers.

They want us to leave.

Why should they bother? Bush treats Iraq like the 51st state.

Started writing the "divvy up the oil" law, that bush has been pressuring them on, more than standing up and fighting for their own freedom.

They never asked you to invade in the first place. You destroy their country then expect them to be grateful.

They never asked us to liberate them. We INVADED. Now we are disappointed that they are taking initiative for something we started?

They are stalling, it does not take four years to train an army--the longer we remain there the more US soldiers will die-humm.
