Yeah sometimes. After three days of eating only junk food, I crave a salad like it's the last piece of food on Earth...otherwise, I eat ice cream to cheer me up (my soul)

The Daily Bread from Above. Nothing more wholesome and nourishing than this. It gives the strength to fight off bad elements and inspires the soul to do more good. With it, one will hunger and thirst NO MORE.

I try for a balanced diet of sound philosophy, deep spirituality, light humour, spicy politics, a variety of music, and just a bit of poetry. I avoid the popular media, don't bother with TV, get most of my news from primary sources wherever possible other than waking up to NPR. I prefer facts to filler and don't like being told what to think. If I pick up a newspaper it's only for the comics. I read my Bible whole and not by proof texts or sections suggested by some two bit preacher. My soul is also fed by regular prayer and compassionate action and nursed by frequent communion with nature. I think it enjoys a pretty healthy lifestyle.

I understand the soul to be, at least, the human mind and passions. In this way, our western life style is not a healthy one at all. It produces factions in uncountable multitude. Religious people argue with each other and with philosophers and science. Common sense puts it's two cents worth into the mixture and we have a country where people are willing to do harm to one another over these unknowable and unsolvable problems. Mean while, back at the ranch, the people making money from all the fighting, provide sports and soap opera's to distract you from the pain and worry that each day brings.

My soul feeds primarily on memories and dreams; to me the secret of life is to take all the junk food one's soul is provided with, and learn to weed out that which is detrimental, then derive nourishment from even the smallest events of normal, everyday life.

I try and feed my soul kind words of encouragement, kindness and hope. I toss in faith and trust for good measure every now and then. I try and lay off the junk food. AKA Sorrow and misery to me because they are the easiest emotions I can feed to my soul, along with hate and anger. They are just like sweet cakes and fast food, they feel good for a few moments but they stay on you for a lot longer and they may have fatal results in the end.

Feed it health and you will be rewarded - feed it junk and that is what you are.
Your soul reflects what you consume from will-power... will it good or bad.
Memories of happiness - healthy.
Memories of sadness - may be healthy - may make you strong - may be healthy.
Too much sadness - junk.
Don't feed yourself depression - feed yourself light.
Shine a flashlight down your throat, see if that helps more than swallowing and never opening your mouth again.
Get what I'm saying?

Wholesome nourishment. Without being too specific, by doing things like volunteer work and other good works. By helping others. By imagining what I would wish I had accomplished if I was laying on my deathbed. Then I try to accomplish those things.
