I think BCP's have 3 weeks of active pills, an 1 week of inactive pills, sugar pills. When using this type of birth control, when do you have your period.

One the one week of sugar pills. If you start each week on a Sunday your period should come around tuesday. If you skip the inactive and go on your next pack, your period won't come.

During the sugar pills (usually 72 hours after the last active pill). The sugar pills don't have any hormones in them (they are usually just lactose, though some brands have added iron) so the woman's hormone levels drop, triggering a withdrawal bleed - it's not actually a natural period.

You have your period when you are on the blank inactive pills.

FYI most of the "blank" pills don't have sugar in them. They usually don't contain anything....they are just there to help a woman maintain consistancy of taking the pill every day.

i think once u start this cycle u need not worry abt period date. u have to continue for 3 weeks and 1 week off, start after one week again whether period starts or not, it is not have any connection with it. only first time when u take, u have to ask gynac when to start. sometimes on packet leaflet itself they mention when to start.
