I experienced a Paranormal event during a walk in a park which is haunted. It totally felt weird when walking around the area because you get this feeling that something isn't right, and you start to feel uncomfortable. I have yet to see ghosts but I've felt things and heard things in that park that sound more scary than anything I've had happen to me before.

This story is perhaps one of the most famous encounters. Two young women in England were studying to be nurses in the 19th century. Remember this was at a time when cutting off a limb was an acceptable remedy for ailments we would cure today with medicines.

One afternoon, one of the girls named Rose saw a woman descending the stairs in the house she occupied. The woman wore clothing typical of the Victorian era and had a dark veil over her face. All was silent. She watched in fascination as the woman descended the stairs almost as if she were floating. The woman entered the front parlor, navigated the room, exited the front door into the sunlight walking down a path where she was seen by two other people who had worked on the estate for many years. Ultimately she vanished into a grove of trees at the bottom of the garden. Rose ran out and asked one of the others who the woman was, since she had not recognized her. She was told by one of the startled staff that she was the former lady of the house who had been deceased for several years.

Most stories stop here. But what makes this one special is what happened next. In what may have been the first carefully considered investigation of a haunting, Rose tried various things to learn more about the phantom woman. She began by tying a string across the stairs. She literally was curious to see if the woman would trip. The next time the woman was observed she passed through the string.

Her next idea was to rearrange the furniture in the parlor, since the woman always went there. When the woman next appeared, she seemed to halt for a moment, then followed the new furniture pattern. She did not move through anything.
All the furniture had been in the house when she lived there.

Next, Rose brought some new furniture into the parlor the woman had never seen. She blocked the path through the parlor to see what would happen. When the woman appeared again she followed the pattern of the old furniture, passing right through the new piece as if it wasn't there.

What Rose had done was demonstrate some fundamentals about haunting apparitions. They seem be aware of things known to them in life, but not of other objects. She also observed over time the woman began to lose color and then density. She appeared more and more like what most people think of as a 'ghost'. Ultimately only a small wisp of smoke-like material could be seen, following the same path: down the stairs, into the parlor and out the front door into the garden disappearing into the grove at the bottom of the garden.

This story is completely true. It is considered one of the first actual attempts to understand the behavior of a haunting apparition.

well it was actually a week ago from today... there was a huge storm and the power went out so i took a flash light into my room to get my CDs i had my CD player in my hand and the ear phones atached to it... i leaned over where the head phones were touching the table all of the suddun one JUST one not both started to vibrate really fast and kinda tugged or pulled a little as soon as i moved it it stoped but it couldnt have been ne thing on the table that was moving cause nothing was cause the power was out and its said the gohsts feed off energys froms storms and just from the energy u give off when they scare u.... i do believe in spirits and gohsts cant completely say thats what it was but i have no reason to believe it wasnt what else could it have been well ne ways i moved really quickly and went back downstairs but then me and my brother left the house so i cant even say something else happened to me that night but when we got home the power was still out and we went to bed right away so nothing else happened but if u have ne idea what else that could have been let me no
