Sorry Darlin, there is nothing you can do but divorce him so he can't do it again. I know that is a harsh life lesson, but there are people out there like that. Unfortunately, he broke no law as you had given him access to those accounts. I would say in the future to be certain about someone before saying I do. I had to learn that same lesson in almost the same way. It sucks.

See an attorney, immediately. At the very least you must ensure that he can't apply for joint credit without your knowledge, because then you'll be held jointly accountable for the debt. If he married you to steal from you, it's criminal. That's what it sounds like. In that case, the amount of money establishes how serious it is. I'm thinking that getting the police involved is a really good idea.

First, you need to find him. Second, if you can prove that the money was yours before marriage, then it is yours. It is not community property. You need to get a very good attorney, one that will know the right people to track this guy down. Then you have to drag him to court. There are lots of legal actions you can take. Put a lien on his house, car or possessions etc... With a good attorney, anything is possible.

If the account was in your name only, and you have proof that you didn't take the money out of the account, yeah you can take action. You can sue him for the amont of the cash that was in your account. All you need is his name and birthdate, go talk to a lawyer, and if you can print out your bank statements from where he was pulling the money out of your account, and have proof as well that there was no way possible that you could have did it because you were at work for example

He didn't steal anything. In a marriage ALL Assets are 50/50 just as all debt is. What legal action do you think you could take you CHOSE to marry him. So the blame is on YOUR shoulders...you obviously CHOSE to marry the wrong man.

You will need legal advice for this one. You will probably need to hire a private investigator to track him down as well.
When you find him drag his a** all the way through the court system and do your damndest to get back what was yours to begin with.
A harsh lesson for next time.

If you two shared the account then there is probably nothing you can do. Unless you can prove some kind of theft, again....there is nothing that can be done.

depends on if they were joint accounts or not. If they were joint accounts then no.. accept the loss and move on . I f you put his name on the account then that gave him the right to do as he pleased. If the accounts were in your name only then YES you can nail him for every cent he took

thats sad but probably not since he is your husband. You should have protected that before the wedding even though you should not have to worry about something like that.
