I say it depends one how their relation was. Even though men don't show emotion or what not...they do have feelings. But it all comes down to how the relation ended.
As for me if my husband and I divorced, I would move on and not waste one tear or depression over him.

First of all, a larger proportion of men are more likely to move on. WHY?
*) Men usually think that they have got more rights (at least in some societies.)
*) Most men think that they have a lot more to do and think of than women, which makes them not that passionate and sentimental.
*) A man would take pride in moving on from one to another. Rarely would a woman be proud of doing this.
*) A woman, by nature, 'fuses'; a woman is not made to 'defuse'.
*) A woman is created to suffer great pains willingly to give birth to a new life. Such a person will 'include' NOT 'exclude'.

I really don't think it is dependent on gender. I know some men who have been devastated for a long time after a divorce, and I know some who picked up after a month or two. Same with women, some heal faster than others. And sometimes, one person is already checked out of the relationship, so they seem to "heal" faster, when in reality, they've already moved on and are now just happy they can.

Men.. they get over the break up quicker.. They know to move on, to get someone different.. Were women are crying over it.. Not thinking about all the other men in the world.

I think neither. Men and women are born and raised diffrently than others. some women can move on quite quickly than some men. its not through gender that a person is likely to move on.

I think than women take more time to get over a breakup. They will show their emotions, and men just find another girl to move onto to cover up their feelings.

Men do it quicker because they can't stand being alone. Women take their time and are more ready and will most likely stay in that new relationship because they've taken the time to evaluate what went wrong with the last relationship.
