Why do sometimes, people aggressively look for shallow, eternally unsatisfying characteristics in other people while dating?
like sex and money
instead of humor, respect, humility, generosity, ambition, etc

I think it is more like we are attracted to attractive people....like who wants to kiss a unattractive person?
...and it might be that some of the beautiful people are only beautiful...just don't have nicer characteristics ......
....and dating is about sex....and what fun is dating without going out and having fun...so that is where the money comes into it....so it isn't shallow...just what people need....

What you call shallow is fairly important, involving survival and procreation. These are basic considerations, but they're hardly shallow. As for the rest, this is largely (but not exclusively) a matter of upbringing. This is why children brought up around domestic abuse tend to get involved in abusive situations. People may not regard nor even understand positive qualities if they weren't raised around them.

I dont care about sex or money I just want a genuine man who can be honest with me and has a sense of adventure and isnt too sensitive.
