The Highway, Interstate, the expressway, or the toll road. There's no such thing as a "freeway" in Illinois.

look at the signs, they say ( just as an example) IH20, it stands for interstate highway 20

neither... I say i-75 or St Rt 13, or US 30. Actually I just use the numbers.
However, sometimes if I was asking which one... I think it would be highway!
