He is known to be a dictator, why do general managers always hire him? He's done nothing good...

this certainly is a mystery. He has some short term success and then he gets fired and sits back and collects the rest of the dough owing him on contract.
Why can't I get a job like that?

Outstanding oral technique?
Sure is a hard guy to like but he does seem to get results during the regular season, but not a great playoff record (Ranger cup being the exception). Making the playoffs means big bucks for the teams, so taking the risk of burned out players once you get there might be worth it for a marginal team. His record is; 569 / 447 / 140 / 20 w/l/t/otl with 1299 pts in 1014 games in the regular season and 91 / 79 /.535 w/l/win% in the playoffs.

Because the Calgary Flame sthink he is what they need to be motivated into and through the Stanley Cup playoffs.

They have struggled lately in the playoffs and need that key coach to push them through it.

Mike Keenan is who they think will do that for them.

I agree with the Flames choice on hiring him. Much better than last year with Jim Playfair anyway. He just didnt have enough experience to fullfill The flames Head Coach position.

If it were up to me, i would bring back Daryl Sutter as Head Coach.

Because he happened to be behind the bench for the most loaded NHL team in recent memory that would have won with the mascot as coach, and he's been riding off that success ever since.

He's worn out his welcome EVERYWHERE he's been and has left his teams in various states of disarray upon his departure.

Flames fans should just be happy Keenan's not also their GM...yet.

Because he's won the cup once and was runner-up twice.

Can't argue with results.....well, maybe you can.
