regular mail you send by post. Compared to an e-mail sent on the internet, mail sent in the post office, is way slower-just like a snail.

snail mail is the old way of sending mail by actually writing a letter by hand and putting it in the mailbox

The type you write with a pen on paper put in an envelope and put a stamp on and put im the mail box. It takes longer than email usually less time than walking there and now days mostly used for bills.

It's the mail that gets delievered to your house in the mailbox, or put in your P.O. Box (whichever you have)....it's called snail mail because compared to email, it takes forever to get here!
