yes ill edit and tell the story in a second
ok it was my freshmen year of highschool almost the end of the year. and right when i walk in through the garage door (i never use teh front door) the door that leads to the kitchen was wide open. so i thought maybe my mom came home from work and forgot to close it. then when i walk through i look down the stairs and i think i see a shadow at my sisters bedroom so i walked to the kitchen fast grabbed a knife then went down to her room. carefully searched the closets and the space under the stairs that is filled with stuffed animals. and nothing then i search my moms shop which is across from my sisters room and saw nothing. but i didnt go in the wreckroom. i just went upstairs to drop my backpack in my room when i get there my room looks vary vary different and atfirst i wasnt sure what was different until i realised my computer was supposed to be under my desk and there was just alot of wires. and then i look over to my TV and my PS2 and my DVD player are missing and i look on the floor near where they used to be and all my dvd's and game cases are there but are all open and empty. then i start getting hella pissed so i go back into the kitchen and grab the same big *** knife again and search the entire upstairs finding nothing then went back downstairs and searches my sisters room and the work room again then went into the wreck room and found the basement door window broken and the key in the deadbolt was stolen (our deadbolt u need a key to open both sides) so i search the laundry room and the other bathroom and see nothing so when i go outside i find my dog scared as hell and my Computer out in the sun. so it wasnt stolen they probably has to leave in a hurry. when i finnely called the cops since i told them i secured the house they didnt come right away and then i called the locksmith and changed all the locks which the cops came after the locksmith left. i was vary paranoid the first 2 nights until the window downstairs was fixed. now we dont keep the key in the deadbolt downstairs. we keep this place locked up really good. and we now have an alarm system

Luckily, my house has never been broken into, and I'm hoping it will never ever happen! I'm so sorry to hear about that! It does take a while, I'm sure, to get over everything. Don't be paranoid! Judging by the amount of people that answered 'no' to your question, burglaries don't happen very often. It is sickening to think of people going through your own stuff though! Good luck with everything!

Yes, indeed. When I lived in an apartment someone came in and stole some booze I had in my collection. Fortunately, I only owned a couple of Bean Bag chairs and a used TV, an old kitchen table with chairs and my Bedroom set. They were just after the beer and booze. And, just like you, they forgot to close the front door on the way out.

Well, it was a mistake, but in a way yes. Once, (i cant remember how old I was--really young probably) but my parents are divorced, and so my mom and i were doing something, and so we came home to find the siren for our alarm system blaring and a team of cops out front, and it turned out my dad had tried to get in but forgot how to turn off the alarm! It was funny cuz he was trying to explain he was the ex of the house owner but they were like "hummm...I'm not sure...." ha!...I don't remember of course, but it was funny from what I've heard.

Yeah, and what did they take? My Hero pen, a T shirt with London landmarks, a new pair of briefs. I like to be appreciated for my taste.
