hi. i was due for my period one week ago and today i started having what you might call a light period, with cramps and all. im usually 22 days but im not sure if its a normal period or something else. can i take a home pregnancy test while im bleeding or do i have to wait?

Yes you can. It's not very common, but you can have your period during the first month of pregnancy or before that. You could take a pregnancy test now, all it does is detect if there's a hormone in your urine that pregnant women have, it'd still be there regardless of your period...

Yes, you might be. Take the home pregnancy test, and if it's positive, get to a gynocologist, because something is probably off-kilter. I don't know if the baby can be saved or not.

I had this happen, but I had no clue I was pregnant until I miscarried a few weeks after a very light "period". Don't want to scare you, but it's better to be safe than sorry. I almost passed out from the pain of that miscarriage, and I was behind the wheel at the time. Everything came out OK in the end, but it was the scariest of my miscarriages.
