If a radio says it has AM/FM/TV/Weather...?

Question

Does that mean it covers all of the local tv station programming like ABC, NBC, CBS etc. or does it mean it only covers 1? Cause where I live the regular AM/FM radio has only 1 audio carrier from NBC. I'd just wish if it said you can listen to your tv shows that you could listen to all of the local tv stations. So would i be able to listen to ABC or what???? thanks

Can't swear to it but I suspect, since it's a radio only, you'll only get weather alerts issued by the National Weather Service. This will happen when emergency weather notices are issued.

However I would think the instruction manual that came with the set would explain completely what you get. If not, use a web search engine to find the set using the brand name and model number for more info.

I believe your weather radio only covers the VHF band which would be channels 2-13. You may to check your weather radio carefully to see if you can get the UHF band too which would be channels 14 and above.

They are somewhat local to your area, and use set frequencies depending on your location. The FM band will cover only the FM Broadcast Band. 87.5 to 108 MHz. The AM band from 530 to 1710 kHz.
