This is too broad a question to get a good answer. Spain can be roughly divided into three regions with very different climates. The capital city, Madrid, lies within a continental climate, which is temperate and fairly dry. So in September you will experience temperatures that are cooling down from the summer highs. You will be there before the rainy season starts in October. Barcelona is located in a Mediterranean climate, which is drier and warmer, with less temperature variation between day and night. Galicia has an oceanic climate, which is much milder with much less variation in temperature both between day and night and seasonally. There is more rain than in the other regions, but the wettest season again doesn't start until October.

It depend's on where in Spain do you want to go.
Generally in Spain is still summer in september. Maybe it rains a little bit more than in summer and the temperatures are a little bit lower, but good weather anyway!
