the concourse of history, human endeavour and your path as an individual travelling along as part of that, that in some sense time elapses and we as humans are moving forward together but apart, that time is flowing continually and we are both part of it now and interact with the future each moment, while the choices in our past and the way we were, all contribute to our momentary existence.

Time is just flying away and we are running to catch it but we can never even touch it. It is the never ending process. But still we are running after the time. Time changes as well as we changes.... but the process never changes... we are being fooled but we loved to be that... birth, youth, old age and death all are just the episode of the game between time and us..

I'm curious if you think that being aware of the passage of time will help you to better understand your present state, or if just knowing the time has past and that your existence has had an ongoing effect on the presence of the current time will be nothing more than a question with an answer that resolves nothing.
For myself the passage of time ties into the current and the future. In the ways i view it time is nothing therefore all things come together into the present. Although I can accept the present has an ongoing effect and in order for the present to continue it needs action from what might be considered a past or future, but i choose to move with the present, eliminating the need for the past or future.

We are aware of the passage of time only mentally... that is why when the mind is fully occupied or engrossed, we do not seem to notice time passing and on the other hand, when the mind is less than busy, we seem to be so aware of it that we feel as though it has stood still or moving at a snail's pace.

Incidentally, in my view, mental awareness has an element of intent included to some degree or the other and to that extent, it is not the same as physical awareness or perception!!

I am aware of the passage of time...every day I look in the mirror, every day I look at my children, every day I read a book or look into the pale blue sky. Time is every where yet no where. It is in every thing yet not there. Time makes me feel how insignificant one life is yet some how it is significant...it is hard to explain. Time...we take a lot for granted given humans have only existed for about 3 seconds compared to that of earth and even less when compared to the universe. Yes, I'm aware....are you?

Yes, I'm aware of the passage of time.

I do believe that you just asked this question so you could expound on time with all that philosophical horse poop you wrote in the detail. Come on! Admit it. There now, don't you feel better?

I would not be here if I were not! You would not be asking it if you believed anyone wasn't... 'Cause those who don't, would not be answering anything!
Define your aspect of passage of time... Can one tell how much time has passed with what level of accuracy and how can one really feel certain? that makes better sense to ask!!!
