My sister just signed a 1 year lease for a 2nd floor apartment. The next day she broke her leg.
What are her options and chances to move to a 1st floor apartment?
She feel so embarrass about the whole situation.

She could talk to the apartment manager. If there is a first floor apartment available, the manager might allow her to switch the lease to the other apartment.

She will need to take that up with the apartment manager. The apartment is under no obligation to allow the move, especially since she just moved in.

When I lived in apartments, we wanted to move to a back one with a patio, and they allowed us to move. We had lived there a couple of years before we asked though.

Just ask. Explain the condition. A broken leg is a very temporary condition, so they may not agree.

hi, tell her to read her agreement or contract. there might be exception.
