i was gonna say platypus aswell! also the mud puppy. they are like fish but have legs! also, people. we come in millions of shapes, sizes, races, speak many different languages, all have different personalities. there are so many weird things out there. also, its not weird, but the whale shark. its a species that humans know barely anything about, and live so deep down they have only been seen a few times. also, they are sharks, and large predators, but the are so kind and gentle and feed off of tiny creatures.

NUTS!!! My first thought was the platypus too!! They are so unusual looking to me that they don't look real.
My next choice would have to be mollusks. How does their life start? How do they get into the shell, or do they come to life inside? I guess I should go look it up- LOL! I really don't know anything about them!

humans and do you really have to ask why???? otherwise i would say the octopus, it can camoflauge and is exceptionally nimble, can be huge but get into the smallest of spaces, it fires ink when threatened, and has a beak and eight legs with suckers underneath, in all a truly weird but amazing creature
