I have a cd drive hooked up to the HDD cable, so Can I hook up my hard drive and my cd drive on the ssame cable, My motherboard came with a black cord that says HDD so my cd drive is hooked up to it. so can i hook my hard drive to that cable too?

Yes, it is ok. Just make sure one is marked as Slave and one as Master.

hi, yes you can make sure that you set the jumper pins on the back of your harddrive and cd rom set one as master and set the other to slave, this setup will slow down the peformance of your harddrive.lifes tough. cheers
