I seem to recall that Paul Young did a song with the title "A Heart Needs a Second Chance" back in the 80s. I couldn't find a song sample though.
The other most frequent hit was for .38 Special (who I don't believe are Australian). Just in case here's a sample for that one:

Second Chance...38 Special (80's), at least this is the original. IDK if someone covered it or not.
