I understand ocean view and ocean front, but what the heck is ocean side?

i think it just means by the ocean

Ocean View does not always mean that it is on the side of the ocean, it just means that when you look out, you can see the ocean. Ocean side defininitely means that your room is on the side of the ocean. I think Ocean front is the same thing.

In a hotel, ocean side means your room is actually on the side of the building that has a view of the ocean, as opposed to the bay, or land, or pool, etc.

Well Ocean side is a city in Southern California, and it was one street above the ocean.

ocean view (can see the ocean, but not necessarily close)

ocean front (property right on the beach, on the ocean)

ocean side (means on the ocean side of the sand/beach, not the land side)

i think it may be where you have a balcony with a side view of the ocean as opposed to ocean front

Properties can be ocean side of a highway or hotel rooms can be ocean side of the building..

if you are talking about a hotel room or condo it means yours is on the side of the ocean, if you have a balcony or windows you will be looking out at the ocean. these are usually the choice rooms and cost more

A hotel could be on a island or peninsula Where one side is facing a bay (bay side) or a ocean on the other (ocean side )
