Like I said to a similar question a while back, call it "Sandwiches-R-Us." When Toys-R-Us sues you, it'll create alot of buzz for your restaurant, and when you're really popular, cancel on that name and come up with something different! Or if they let you keep it, use it! Either way, you win!

Hungry Herman's was a great submarine sandwich shop in Washington DC back in the early 1970's. No one ever knew who Herman was but he was awfully Hungry and we ate there
almost every day. The old lettuce, tomato with swiss cheese and ham on pumpernickel makes me drool today for a taste of Herman!

In my town in America there is a place called Bisonwiches, with a Bison as the mascot. The name is catchy because it was originally BySumWiches and evolved to Bisonwiches.

The best thing to do is create a theme and name it accordingly. If it's an Italian Deli, look around for names that haven't been taken yet. Your city's City Hall and your Secretary of State can help you in this. I wouldn't Rosa's because it may cause a conflict with other's that have already named theirs that name in your town, not to mention loss of profits because people that may mean to go to yours could go to theirs instead.

I would pick a random, hardly spoken of Italian town and name it "IL whatever that town's name is"

Well, according to legend, the Earl of Sandwich (he of the Islands of the same name) was too busy at the gaming tables to go to dinner, so he had a servant bring him some meat placed between two slices of bread. Apocryphal, probably, but it might tickle your imagination. So...how about...Earl's?
