Well using my pirate expertise, I would have to say bran muffins. Fresh bread was loved on the sailing ships all over the ocean, even the pirates. Although fresh bread and grain was only eaten regularly by the officers, it was a treat for the crew, even though usually they had maggots in them(therefore they ate them in the dark so they wouldn't have to see the squigglies).
Milk Chocolate wasn't introduced to european society until the early 20th century, so thats kind of out of the question. But out of modern day pirates...I'm sure they love chocolate much more than icky old bran muffins :)

Bran muffins, with a hearty ration of chocolate chips, and srong ration of grog with some cackle fruit floating would be the way to start your Pirates day, if you want him to be your love monkey.

Prehaps they like bran better because they can get all of their "treasure" out in out sitting/ shiting. LOL. I mean, it woukd suck to be right in the middle of a raid and have the runs or something! ;-)
