we know that AD being the altitude measure of Therefore 2x^2+40=90
or,2x^2=90-40=50
or,x^2=25
or.x=5
BC=BD+DC
=3x+8+4x+4
=7x+12
=7*5+12
=47 units

BC is 47.

Since segment AD is an altitude, then it logically follows that the measure of angle ADC is 90 degrees.

2x^2 + 40 = 90 = ADC
2x^2 = 50
x^2 = 25
x = 5

Point D is between B & C. So just add BD + DC to get BC.

[3(5) + 8] + [4(5) + 4)] = 47.

i'm going to offer you the training, via fact i'm not sure what 2x2 skill :(. An altitude is what cuts a side non the two and makes a top perspective. for the reason that all of us understand ADC is 2x2+40 we set that as much as ninety and remedy for x. Then plug in what you get for x in phase BD and DC remedy for numbers and upload them the two as much as get BC! desire I helped.

if AD is the altitude then AD is perpendicular to BC
angle D is 90 deg
check your angle ADC . . . . . . .
