I use apple cider vinegar on a daily basis. Usually I make a cup of tea but I sometimes use a large glass of water and put a teaspoon of vinegar in it. It resolves any plaque that might build up in my circulatory system. This is better than any treatment that is dependent on an ongoing partaking of chemical medications (modern medicine). Also, garlic has already established itself as a natural antibiotic and it offers soothing help for many established deep-rooted ailments. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace and God Bless.

Well . . . I've tried drinking apple cider vinegar and honey every morning, and I do think it does help with joint pain, but didn't find that it did much for my acne. I've also swallowed raw cloves of garlic, and that does tend to "clean you out" but I don't know if it's a miracle cure.

Why not try it? It's relatively cheap, and all the ingredients are healthy. If it works for you, fantastic. If not, make some salad dressing to use up the last of your ingredients, and go off the course.

Garlic is a natural anti-biotic, so it will help with an infection. Don't eat too much. I have read four cloves per day as good prevention from colds. Talk to your doctor if you want to eat more (I am not kidding.) Crush it or chew thoroughly before eating but don't let it stand for more than a minute or two - it only takes 20 seconds or so for the ingredients to "mix" into active form after the clove is crushed.

It will work quite well. Somewhere I read that the blood of a person eating garlic tends to inhibit bacterial growth. I don't know if it is accurate or not, but for preventing the common cold its scent only needs to travel into the nose since it's from there that viruses usually get into the respiratory system. Could its effect also be systemic? Quite possibly.

As far as treating skin infections, the concentrations of allicin, one of the active ingredients in garlic, needed to inhibit bacterial growth are much less than those from a pharmaceutical antibiotic agent commonly used for that purpose. uM per uM allicin is more potent than a topical antibiotic substance produced by the Pharma. Unfortunately the name eludes me but it starts with an m.

However, all of that said, there is not surefire consensus from the scientific method yet that garlic surely does those things. There is very strong evidence from several scientific studies but no accepted consensus resulting in serious pharmacological research into this herb.

So, should you fall ill with fever, go to your doctor and get the diagnosis, and then inquire if you can home-treat with garlic. For very serious infections such as pneumonia, proceed directly with your doctor's prescriptions. Garlic is no good here in time; you need something much stronger.

Also read up online about what medications should not be taken together with garlic. Yes, some medications do not mix with garlic well, and garlic must be avoided if you are taking them.

Other than that, i'd like to finish with a quote from a phycisian i read online. I am paraphrasing, but the meaning is intact: "Ever since i started eating three-four cloves of garlic daily about two years ago, i have not had one single cold."

Good luck with garlic. Eating garlic daily likely means less illness of bacterial, viral and fungal kind.

My great gramma use to take honey and vinegar back about 25 years ago daily. At 85 years old, she was as healthy as could be. Would cut her own grass, go for walks with us, get up at 3:00 every morning to start her day. Short time later, she ended up with alzeheimers, and that's what made her spiral downhill. Up until that time, never even spent one day in the hospital.
