I woke up one morning with a terrible headache. A blood vessel was broken in my eye. Could the headache have caused this?

Sounds like it could be high blood pressure causing both!
You should go see your doctor!

i think it's more likely that the blood vessel caused the headache. do you have high blood pressure? you should see your doc soon

best thing to do is ease up on the old jug there my friend and you won't be awaking up with these terrible headaches and blood shot eyes...
