An imperative sentence asks, requests, or commands someone to do something. An imperative sentence drops the subject.
Sometimes when simply the verb of an imperative sentence is referred to, it is said to be in the imperative mood.
Examples: Go away!
Please go away.
John, come here please.
(John is not the subject but a direct address.)

A maxim is a rule. A maxim would be universalized if it needs no qualification to be right. Most maxims do not meet this standard. You can't say simply, don't kill, you need to say don't kill unless he's about to kill someone else. You can't say "Be happy" you must say "be happy unless the action is irresponsible". So, according to Kant most Imperatives are Hypothetical meaning they need to be qualified. According to Kant (this is far from universally agreed upon) the Categorical Imperative need no Qualifier. It is therefore always (universally) the right way to act rightly. So, any maxim that is universally true would be universalized and all others would not. The Categorical Imperative gets in trouble when applied by a masochist . He would say "hurt other people because I think it is good to be hurt. This person could be acting out of good will and honestly believing he is acting right and yet injuring people unjustly. Kant's only criterion is the individual good will. Here's a case where that doesn't work very well. The CI seems to need a qualifier like "Act such that you may which that your actions will be universal maxims, unless you have perverted values"..

An imperative sentence is one that gives a command. It's in the imperative mood. It doesn't have a subject, just a verb and maybe an object (though it could also have an addressee).

It means something is very important and/or necessary.
For instance : It is imperative that you know this word for grammer!
By the way, you might want to check a dictionary when you need to know the meaning of a word.
But I'm not complaining. If you relied on a dictionary I would not earn these two points for answering your question.
